Sony HT-ST5000 or the Bose – Soundbar 700 Smart Speaker with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant
WHICH ONE IS BETTER ?
Rob Williamson says:
I own this system and it kicks ass!!!
sdemosi says:
So I bought this soundbar. I like the looks, the sound is great for playing music using Chromecast. I returned it quickly however because it's just not very good as an immersive atmos experience. Great for listening to music but it can't handle sound projection like the Yamaha YSP models. I have a Ysp 5600 in my living room and it kicks the Sony`s ass. The Ysp 2700 is better than this model at surround sound & costs less than half the price now. The positive reviews all appear to be based on evaluating the Sony as equivalent to a 2 or 3 channel audio system for music and TV, which is fair in some respects but people (including me) feel Atmos should be an immersive experience where reflected sound creates surround effects both horizontal and vertical. The Panny HTB 900 is more immersive too & also much cheaper.

Sujata Surywanshi says:
As per my opinion No any soundbar can deliver atmos effect because from this soundbar you'll get only relative effect instead if that just go for 7.1 channel home Theater system
Raja Sarkar says:
How much
Nathan Explosion says:
Not worth $1500. Maybe $700
Kingブランドン says:
Knowing Sony, they'll release a pair of rear speakers for this soundbar, and they're just wasting for the right moment to do so. They know if they do, then the their system will be the top of the line forcing other companies to compensate, which causes all other sorts of bs in the market. Please, let it be soon~
Jm Tech says:
does this sound better that a bose soundbar?
Willy Schanke says:
So, to sum things up: A 7.1.2 Dolby Atmos branded thing, giving pretty much no surround feeling at all, cost a fortune and it looks like shit. And you give it your recommendation…
Maikeru722 says:
Will sony discontinue this sound bar this year?
Freddy Eduardo Alcazar Barrientos says:
LG SJ9? no?
iFenixxZ says:
Is this stuff comparable with HW-K950?
As i see the strong point is Dolby Vision pass-through
ColonielLizardT4 says:
I can get the LG SJ9 Atmos soundbar for about $300-$400 less and it sounds better too.
Miles Wong says:
Do you need the top of the line tv to use this? I have a Sony x800d screen would it be comparable?
Darshan modi says:
hey dude its working on lg oled 7 series ????? or only for sony tv user only works???
Bolds Yea says:
The Samsung HK-950 has the DTS up so you get all the surround sounds formats now. The HK-950 is the best sound bar on the market now. I wanted the Sony but with no rear speakers I went with the Samsung and did the update and I got DTS coming through all speakers. It's sound amazing and this is coming from some one that has a DENON and Klisphs 5.1 set up.
MK.PRODUCTIONS says:
i hate Soundbars they are a waste of money and stupid ! hearing everything in one place sucks ! 7.1 my ass
Delores McEachern says:
I swear this soundbar must be from the Terminator
Nato Pascual says:
Can you do a comparison video of available atmos soundbar? And which one is the most effective in delivering atmos sound… this feature afterall is the reason people would want to buy an “atmos” capable soundbar, right? K950 vs ht-st5000 vs sj9. Thanks!
B Scooter says:
Looks like you dragged that from 1987 😳
pollocks jones says:
ugly and overpriced.
Matthew Siwula says:
The problem is you can build an amazing surround system for $1400 that will blow that thing away. I purchased sonys 7.1 soundbar back 3 years ago and was never happy with it and in my man cave put together a polk system that tears apart most people's home theater systems
GosumassB says:
Does this soundbar fits perfect with the Sony X930E? No any screen blocking?
jamkur says:
What about rear atmos speakers? For £1,400 you would expect to get the rear speakers too. Samsung k950 is better, or if you dont require the rear atmos speakers, the Samsung k850
sweetbrandigirl says:
NOT PAYING $1500.00 FOR A SOUND BAR THAT CAN'T DELIVER A FULLY IMMERSIVE DOBLY ATMOS EXPERIENCE
SuaveLlaveBlog says:
Wait so you guys recommend it even though the Con was that it doesn't deliver an immersive experience? For the same price the Samsung K950 includes rear speakers. I'm torn.
mrzazzaable says:
Honestly rather buy a full atmos setup
Craig Riches says:
does it block the screen of your E7?
Emaratilfy says:
Build quality might be good but it is certainly not a good looking unit in my opinion.
Brandon Attard says:
Great reviews will you be doing a review on the panasonic EX750 (EX780) 4K tv ?
